IVIS Gives Colorado a Voice
National expansion is on the horizon for ASG. IVIS recently was adopted by the County Sheriffs of Colorado (CSOC) for statewide victim notification.
Colorado, a state known for its progressive initiatives in information technology, has one of the most advanced interagency networks for criminal justice. CSOC's selection of IVIS for its automated victim notification system speaks highly of ASG's architecture of a useful, fast, and effective system.
ASG will replicate the South Carolina version of IVIS to Colorado, adding features as necessary to allow function in the state. The project will incorporate a Colorado version of the Jail-Prison Network to allow automatic notification of activities at detention facilities. As in South Carolina, victims will be kept up-to-date with important case actions such as bookings, arrests, inmate transfers, escapes, and releases.
A major part of ASG's project development and implementation will be training and support of a CSOC technical team that will eventually maintain and enhance IVIS for Colorado. ASG will assist CSOC in building a server network and will provide detailed training through instructive manuals and educational seminars. These aspects of the project allow Colorado to maintain control of its justice information and provide complete assistance to victims of crime within state borders.
Jails and prisons currently participating in the VOICE project by submitting records to the Criminal Records Information System of Colorado (CRISCO) may access the CRISCO Export Guide for detailed instructions on procedures and file formats.
