New System will Coordinate Solicitors Across S.C.
Soon solicitors throughout South Carolina will benefit from a new system for the state. ASG is working with the Commission on Prosecution Coordination (CPC) to develop case management software that can be used by all Solicitors' offices.
Called the Criminal and Juvenile Justice Information Management System (CJJIMS), the software will allow agencies to effectively manage and track cases, quickly produce legal documents, and perform statistical studies using graphs and charts. The system will benefit justice services in South Carolina by establishing standards for collecting case information and reducing paperwork among court circuits.
ASG technical staff have conducted several meetings in conjunction with CPC and solicitors from different circuits across the state. This cooperative environment has set the stage to develop a product that incorporates many ideas.
