Strengthening Information Networks

DARPA

Strength of critical information networks is a major concern in today's technology-driven world. ASG is addressing these issues by implementing a creative design theory visualized by its director, Dr. Joseph Johnson. Using funds awarded by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), a division of the U.S. Department of Defense, ASG will develop software to support a high availability information network for mission-critical computer systems.

The project incorporates a concept of "location ambiguity" to achieve reliable system function through random exchange of primary and replicate networked servers. Several sites across the United States will be used to test and develop this innovative design during the next two years.
